Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What’s happening at the site?

Fortis has partnered with Meta on the construction of the Tulsa Data Center. The 2 million square foot campus will be part of the global infrastructure that brings Meta technologies and programs to life, making the future of human connection possible.

Q. Are you hiring?

Building the data center will engage 1,000 construction workers at peak times. We are committed to hiring locally and will have job postings available on this website.

Q: Are there going to be public road closures due to this project?

There are no current construction-related road closures at this time. For any utility-work, please visit City of Tulsa or OKDOT.

Q: Will there be increased traffic on the surrounding roads during construction?

We take safety seriously and have implemented an alternate route for our construction partners and vendors that will limit our use of local roads. As activity on the site grows, we will continue identifying ways to minimize traffic impacts, including options such as offsite parking and shuttle services.

Q: How are you fostering workforce development at this site and in the region?

We are committed to investing in local talent through partnerships with regional workforce organizations, training programs, and educational institutions. Our goal is to create pathways for skilled trades, construction and trade careers, and long‑term opportunities connected to the project.

The Tulsa Data Center also announced a workforce development partnership for digital infrastructure careers with Tulsa Tech and Tulsa Community College. Stay tuned for more information.

Q: Are there opportunities for local businesses and community involvement?

Yes. We actively seek partnerships with local businesses for services such as catering, janitorial support, and trade work. We also look for ways to support local nonprofits and community initiatives. If you’re interested in partnering with us, please submit inquiries at https://tulsaokdatacenter.com/contactus/.

Q: How is safety being monitored at the construction site?

All Meta and Fortis construction sites follow rigorous safety and security standards. This includes highly trained onsite safety and security teams, mandatory safety protocols, and proactive measures designed to reduce risk throughout every phase of construction.

Q: What if I have a concern or need to get in touch with someone about the project?
You can reach us anytime through the contact button on our website. A member of our team will follow up with you directly.
